• When you call, text or email: whatever you choose to tell us.
• When you browse the site: Google Analytics records pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and how you found us. It uses cookies.
• Server logs: our web server records IP addresses and pages requested, for security and to block spam.

How we use it

• To answer you, give you an estimate, schedule work and follow up on your project.
• To keep spam and abuse off our forms.
• To see which pages help people, so we can improve the site.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.

Who sees it

• The Akats team.
• Our website manager, which runs this site and receives a copy of each form message to make sure none are lost.
• Google, which delivers our email (Gmail) and runs Google Analytics.
• Anyone the law requires us to share it with.

How long we keep it

We keep form messages as long as we need them to answer you and keep normal business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Your choices

• Email or call us to get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete it.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Security

The whole site runs over HTTPS, and form messages are stored on access-controlled systems. No method is perfect, so please don't send passwords or payment card numbers through our forms.

Children

This site is for property owners and adults planning construction work. It is not meant for children under 13.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
